Bud by EmbedLabs
Bud by EmbedLabs is a source-available, self-hosted test management and execution platform. It connects the runners and stations that execute tests with the assertions, events, logs, artifacts, software revisions, and reports that provide durable test evidence.
Test execution across every environment
Bud supports software, hardware, CI, laboratory, and complete-system verification. Runners can execute trusted Python suites locally, inside continuous integration, or as persistent test stations. Bud tracks station heartbeat, availability, identity, and location and attaches that context to searchable test runs.
More than a test-case catalogue
A continuous integration job can report that a test passed or failed. Bud preserves why it failed and where it ran. Assertions, execution events, logs, artifacts, revisions, and reports remain available after the runner process or pipeline has ended.
Incremental adoption
Teams can keep existing Python tests. Bud Runner produces JUnit XML, JSON, and text reports and uploads structured results and artifacts when configured. Robot Framework, pytest, and Behave suites report to Bud through bud-runner, and Cucumber JSON reports can be imported. Adoption can start with one suite before centralizing additional projects or stations.
Independent and self-hosted
Bud does not require Bloom. Bloom by EmbedLabs integration is optional and uses narrowly scoped test-case outcomes. Bud is deployed with Docker Compose using versioned AMD64 and ARM64 images, persistent PostgreSQL and evidence storage, database migrations, readiness checks, metrics, and documented backup procedures.
Bud is also available for installation on Cloudron using the normal product image and the repository's Cloudron package.
